Kids Club is the main way for our juniors to get out on the water, have some fun, play games, meet new paddlers and learn lots of vital paddling skills at the same time.

We meet every (with only a few exceptions) Sunday morning from 10 – 11.30 and run for a relatively long season from May to October. Getting there a little early is always advisable to give you longer on the water. During the winter months 8-14 year olds can only come and do racing with kids club, this is because it is cold and racing is an effective way to warm up. A little paddling experience is advised however as falling in is not nice in the winter!

Kids Club is open to anyone between 8 and 14 as long as they have a PaddlePower Start Award (see Courses pages) – this was new for 2013 and ensures Kids Club is fun for everyone as it means you'll be able to jump straight in a boat and get involved.

You'll also need to fill in a pdfParental consent form. This is an absolute must.

Fully supervised by our volunteer coaches and helpers, this is an opportunity for the Juniors to develop their paddling skills with the focus being firmly on having fun!

Even better, as we run Kids Club during normal Sunday club opening times it is a chance for parents to go out in a boat and get paddling too!

Oh and did we mention that it's FREE! All you need to do is turn up with a change of clothes and shoes you don't mind getting wet in (oh and cake, cake always goes down well).

So if you're a junior and want to get paddling or develop your paddling – Kids Club really is the way to do it! We look forward to seeing you on the water!
