Introduction to Racing Kayaking for New and Existing Members

A one-week course (5 sessions, one per day) or weekend course (4 sessions, two per day) for adults (over 18) designed for those looking to take up a new competitive sport, and become part of our active kayak racing group.

The sessions of the one-week course will run Monday to Friday evening at 6.30pm. Each session will be approximately 1.5hrs in length. Times for the weekend course t.b.c.

Participants must be able to swim 100m in light clothing. No previous experience necessary. Please wear light clothing, shorts/leggings, thermal top (such as hellie hanson or skiing thermals) recommended. No jeans. Bring a complete change of clothes and expect to get wet!

We hope on completing the course, if you're not already a member, you will join the club and continue training with us as well as participate at races for the club.
