North Wales White Water Weekend
From Saturday 13 October 2018 -  08:00am
To Sunday 14 October 2018 - 05:00pm
A moderate white water tip to North Wales

I know that we will have visited North Wales just a month previously, however the middle of October, following a long hot summer, we might be scratching around looking for suitable water in South Wales, however being in the heart of North Wales, many possibilities exist which will be dependent on the amount of rainfall the previous week, (Conwy, Llugwy, Glaslyn) and then as a guaranteed fall-back position we have the Tryweryn and Dee.

So looking at Grade 2+ to -3 water suitable for people with a reasonable competence on moving water, ie at around Lee Valley Legacy Course level.

Unfortunately our usual favourite North Wales Hostel was full for this weekend, so this is a very acceptable alternative, I’ve stayed many times and makes for a nice change of scenery.

Accommodation is the Youth Hostel part of Swallow Falls Inn (though if you wish to upgrade to a room in the hotel, then you are free to book this for yourself)
Bunk rooms containing 4/6/8 people (just depends what we get given) they each have an attached loo and shower at £19 per person night.
Breakfast you have to sort for yourself using the hostel kitchen.
Evening meal can be in the Inn (or hostel kitchen if you wish to self-cater)
Follow the website for further information and sample menu.

If you need to borrow a Club boat, then it needs to be booked via the Club website.

I’ll sort out a WebCollect event in due course for you to be able to pay for the accommodation.

We will sort out lift sharing arrangements nearer the time.

This is the important bit – I’ve reserved 20nr spaces until the 31st August, by which time I have to commit to final numbers and pay a deposit.
If you wish to attend, then in the first instance please email me directly on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
After the 31st August, then you are going to have to sort your accommodation out directly at the hostel (or elsewhere) please.
